I was fooling around and went to a web site my sister talked about. On there I was reading her blog and found my sister had her own area to blog. </span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;">About a month ago my sister decided to come clean and tell my that my 21 year old niece was in rehab for herion addiction and it has been going on for over a year. As you can image I was totally shocked. The thing that bothered me the most was some of the things my sister said. She was now "one of those mothers" and she didn't want to tell certain members of my family because she thought they would delight in the "flaw in her life". I felt as if the last year and a half my sister had been lying to me and I was hurt and angry. Over the last year or so my sister had become really moody, distant, and not very easy to talk to... now it all makes sense. My niece recently got out of rehab and since then I haven't really talked to my sister.</span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;">At breakfast with my mom a week ago, my mom told me that my niece had come to her to borrow money. I didn't know what to say! I didn't want to tell my mother because I promised my sister I wouldn't but when a junkie borrows money, it can't be a good thing. Because my mom doesn't know her granddaubhter is a junkie, she was feeling good because she was able to help her out. </span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:Verdana;">Fast forward to my fooling around today. I find out that my niece is using again and how did I find out? On a blog! I don't know what to do. Do I tell my parents? Do I try to talk to my sister, you know the one how has been lying about this for 18 months? Is there anyone out there that can help?
